Dear Irigaray Circle Members,
On behalf of the Irigaray Circle 2020 Conference Committee and the Executive Committee, I am writing to update you on the Irigaray Circle’s 11th annual meeting.
I am sure that many, if not all of you, are enduring the effects of the covid-19 pandemic. Whether you are in quarantine or some other form of social isolation, I sincerely wish you well.
In response to the unprecedented effects of covid-19 across the world, the committee has decided to postpone our 2020 conference. I am working with our existing keynotes (Lynne Huffer, Kristin Sampson, and George Yancy) to set a date in 2021, and I will get that information to you as soon as possible.
In these surreal and precarious times, I lament that we will miss the much needed inspiration and renewal that the 2020 Irigaray Circle Conference would undoubtedly generate; however, I look forward to what will be a sweet reunion in 2021.
To all of you, please stay safe and healthy.
Wesley Barker, Conference Director
