Calling "Architects of Beauty"
FOR THE 11th MEETING OF THE IRIGARAY CIRCLE:

Thresholds of Difference

June 19-21, 2019

Mercer University, Atlanta, GA, USA

The 2020 Irigaray Circle Meeting: Thresholds of Difference, is pleased to be holding its 11th meeting June 19-21 in Atlanta, Georgia.

In keeping with its previous conferences, the Circle seeks to generate new possibilities for thinking sexual difference by honoring and supporting interdisciplinarity and the multiple research trajectories, methods and projects inspired by Irigaray’s thought. The 2020 meeting affords an occasion to introduce those with shared concerns to Irigaray’s work and to revisit that work from other perspectives.

2020 Irigaray Circle Keynote Speakers and
Book Panel Sessions at DLE II:

The Irigaray Circle is delighted to confirm Lynne Huffer (Emory University, USA), Kristin Sampson (University of Bergen, Norway) and George Yancy (Emory University, USA) as keynote speakers. The IC is also hosting a book panel on Fanny Söderbäck's forthcoming book Revolutionary Time: On Time and Difference in Irigaray and Kristeva (SUNY, 2019) at Charis Books, the oldest independent feminist bookstore in the South. The 2019 winner of the Karen Burke Prize will be announced at the conference and will deliver their paper in the Karen Burke Memorial Lecture.
